Dorothy Brodmann O.D.

Dr. Brodmann is committed to providing the highest quality of personal eyecare to her patients through state-of-the-art equipment. She received her undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College. She is certified in the use of diagnostic and therapeutic agents. She is an expert in contact lens fittings. Dr. Brodmann is a preceptor for the Southern and Pacific Colleges of Optometry Internship Programs. She is also the recipient of the 1993 Optometric Recognition Award and has lectured at the American Optometric Conference. She can speak fluent English, Hungarian, and French. In her free time she enjoys outdoor sports and recreation. She is currently involved with the Lamoille County Lions Club.

Gregory J. Brophey, M.D.

Gregory J. Brophey, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, glaucoma, and anterior segment surgeries as well as surgeries of eyelids. Originally from East Liverpool, Ohio, Dr. Brophey graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Kent State University with Departmental Honors in Biology in 1996. He decided to pursue a career in medicine from a young age, and his interest in microsurgery began when he spent time in the Netherlands as an exchange student, where he worked developing microsurgical skills with noted neurobiologist Dr. Jaap Dubbeldam. He graduated with honors from the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo School of Medicine in 2001, and extended his training at Summa Health Systems' Akron City Hospital in 2001 where he completed his Transitional Year and Ophthalmology Residencies. Dr. Brophey served as Chief Resident in Ophthalmology at Summa from 2004-2005, and supplemented his ophthalmology training through coursework at the University of Texas, in 2003, and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in 2004 in Washington, D.C.

He was on the active staff at Kaiser Permanente in Cleveland, Ohio, as a comprehensive ophthalmologist from 2005-2008, prior to his relocating to Vermont. While at Kaiser, Dr. Brophey distinguished himself by serving actively on Kaiser's Credentialing Committee and Physician Review Committee. He passed his specialty board exam administered by the American Board of Ophthalmology with top honors in 2006. In his spare time, Dr. Brophey enjoys outdoor activities, automobiles, travel and cooking.

Edinelson Ramirez

Edinelson is an exceptional optical tech with 40 years (beginning in 1969) of experience in the optical industry. Edi has practiced in Puerto Rico, New York City and Boston. Edi has been an optical tech in Vermont since 1987. Edi speaks fluent English and Spanish. In his spare time, Edi works as an artist and displays some of his pieces in the office.
